Maggie Albro

Librarian | Researcher | Assistant Professor
Maggie Albro is an Assistant Professor and Agriculture & Natural Resources Librarian at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her research focuses on libraries as a workplace, examining how interpersonal relationships, social norms, and organizational factors coalesce to lead to incivility, bullying, and burnout.

Maggie is serving an interim appointment as the Assistant Head of the UT Libraries Health, Wellness, & Professional Programs alongside her work as a liaison librarian for agriculture and related subjects. She additionally serves as a co-coordinator of her library's evidence synthesis service. She was formerly a Science Librarian at Clemson University, where she was the liaison librarian to agriculture and life science subject areas. Prior to her time at Clemson, she worked at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania as a STEM Librarian.

Maggie is completing coursework towards a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She previously completed an M.L.I.S. from the University of South Carolina, and a B.S. in Food Science Clemson University, where she was a first-generation college student.
